Frequently Asked Questions
How often are the exchange rates updated?
Rates are refreshed from a live exchange-rate feed throughout the day, so conversions reflect current market rates rather than stale daily fixes.
Why is the rate I get at a bank different from the rate shown here?
Converters show the mid-market rate — the midpoint between global buy and sell prices. Banks, card networks, and exchange kiosks add a margin (typically 1–5%) plus possible fees on top of that rate. Use the mid-market rate as your benchmark to judge how good an offer is.
How do I convert currency manually?
Multiply the amount by the exchange rate. If 1 USD = 0.92 EUR, then $250 is 250 × 0.92 = €230. To convert back, divide by the rate: €230 ÷ 0.92 ≈ $250.
Which currencies can I convert?
The converter supports more than 150 world currencies, including all major pairs (USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CHF, CAD, AUD) as well as most emerging-market and regional currencies.
